Usmar is a singer-songwriter and producer from Lille with diverse and varied influences. (trip-hop, French and American rap, jazz, movie and classical music)

Repéré par les Découvertes du Printemps de Bourges et par le Chantier des Francos en 2005 with her first album "Age of possibilities",,fr,It evolves in contemporary music until the release of his second album "Nothing is perfect" with the single "Pirate",,fr,with songwriter Tony Melville inteprète "When I Serai Petit",,fr,"Soundtracks" a compilation of pieces created for show Stanka Pavlova,,fr,Chat/Chat,,en,the Golden Dragon,,fr,Overboard,,fr,West’RN,,en,Lack Call,,fr. (Tekonosko / Musicast/ Edition Sony ATV Publishing), he released a second album in 2009 "Nothing is perfect" with the single "Pirate".

Usmar va par la suite, move more and more towards performing arts. In a few years he signs the soundtracks of more than thirty show music for theater companies, dance or puppet (Compagnie Zapoï, Cie Joker, Adventure Theater, Cie In Extremis, Company Above Board, Compagnie illimitée, the Crank Theater, Zahagt Company).
In his music, we can feel his taste for mixtures and his collaborations feed his interest in other artistic disciplines.

Il crée en 2015 with singer-songwriter Tony Melvil "When I Will Be Small", spectacle pluridisciplinaire tout public à partir de 7 years. (180 representations throughout France). Building on this success, the duo continues with “Manque à L’appel” a show on absence/self-presence which will play almost 200 time. On the scene, Il se spécialise dans l’utilisation des instruments électroniques en live (ordinateurs, tablets, smartphones, contrôleurs et capteurs) while ensuring the interpretation between song and rap.

En 2020, this is the unexpected return of a new album of song "Dark Rider", eight introspective titles that address the theme of the interior, from within, secrecy.
He also relaunches his Beats project & Politics with a philosophy-oriented second season available on all podcast platforms.

En 2022, Usmar decides to stop touring to devote himself only to creation.
He opens “UsmarLab”, a creation and production studio based in Lille to offer its services as a mixer and artistic director to current music groups.
He also works as a trainer at the Lille Conservatory with ESMD – current music.
And he continues his work as a composer for live shows with the creations of “Zebras”, “Zébro”, “Big brother” and “Sisto” in 2023 and 2024.
